The ITI-OC Advisory Committee was formed by Patricia Dunn to further the mission and objectives of the ITI-OC in raising financial support for groundbreaking clinical trials and research to discover new therapies to treat advanced ovarian cancer.
ANNIE ELLICOTT
Annie Ellicott is founder and President of LeapUp Marketing Solutions, and her background includes over 25+ years of experience developing consumer marketing and business development strategies in the entertainment, media, apparel and health service industries. Her experience includes senior roles in marketing, sales planning and merchandising at the Walt Disney Company, Levi Strauss & Company and Women.com (now iVillage/NBC) as well as management consulting experience working with McKinsey & Co. Annie holds a BA degree in Economics from Princeton University and an Masters of Science degree in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health. Annie is also an avid whitewater Class V rafter, sailor, skier, horseback rider and photographer and is active on several non-profit Boards including Larkin Street Youth Services and Global Service Corps.. Annie lives in San Francisco.
KAREN KAPLOWITZ
Karen Kaplowitz has been a lawyer and businessperson for over 30 years, and was a partner for over 20 years in Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan, one of the premiere entertainment litigation firms in California. Karen served as President of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and as Chair of the Employer-Employee Relations Committee of the ABA’s Torts and Insurance Practice Section. Karen is the creator of Aiming High, an annual event benefitting the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund, and is a member of the Advisory Board of Disability Rights Advocates in Oakland, CA. Karen established The New Ellis Group, a business development consulting firm based in Princeton, NJ, in 1997. The firm provides strategic planning and business development expertise to firms in the processional services, publishing, legal software, advertising, sports media, and graphic design industries, among others. Karen’s special expertise is helping clients build business networks of clients, customers and referral sources. Karen lives near Philadelphia.
DEBBIE LAMMERS
Debbie Lammers is a community leader in Niwot, Colorado, where, as a homemaker and mother of three, she moved with her husband Chris, in 1997 from the San Francisco Bay Area. Having long been active in school parent groups, Debbie has been involved in school funding initiatives and has served on campaign committees and subsequent oversight committees for school bond initiatives in the hundreds of millions of dollars. In 2009, she was elected to the Board of Education of one of the larger school districts in Colorado – a Boulder County-headquartered district with 27,000 students in over 50 schools. She and her husband also serve as volunteers for their local Habitat For Humanity program in addition to board service with other non-profit organizations and foundations. Debbie graduated in 1974 from Chico State College in California, attended law school for a year and then began a long career as a legal assistant and paralegal administrator with two prominent San Francisco law firms. Her husband is an executive in the cable television industry, and she is Pattie’s favorite and only sister.
PAULA PRETLOW
Paula Pretlow is Senior Vice President of Client Relations of Capital Guardian Trust Company, one of the world’s largest and most respect investment management organizations, and is responsible for client service and marketing for public employee benefit plans. Prior to joining Capital Guardian in 1999, Paula was with Montgomery Asset Management and Chancellor LGT, and Barclays Global Investors. Her investment industry experience includes fixed-income sales with Credit Suisse First Boston and several years as a portfolio engineer with Rosenberg Institutional Equity Management. Paula has a BA in political science from Northwestern University and an MBA in finance and economics from Northwestern University’s Graduate School of Management. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Making Waves Education Program and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Pitzer College. Paula lives in Orinda, CA.
ANDREA REDMOND
Andrea Redmond co-headed Russell CEO and Board search practice for many years, recruiting CEOs and senior managers for many top companies in the US. She has authored and co-authored books and articles on leadership and and management, and was described by Business Week as “a new kingmaker” among executive recruiters in 2006. Andrea decided to leave Russell Reynolds in 2007 but continues as a special consultant to CEO-level clients on a range of leadership and management issues. Andrea has been actively involved in several philanthropic endeavors, including the Breast Cancer Network of Strength, an organization supporting women diagnosed with breast cancer. Andrea lives outside of Chicago.
